Switzerland national team is confirmed in XIV MOC WRE, bringing 27 athletes full of known names. Always of remark are the number 1 of world ranking Simone Niggli and Matthias Kyburz also included in the pack. Welcome.

Entries deadline

XIV MOC - WRE direction wants to remind that the Entries deadline with no- surcharge is on 28 of January, 3 weeks before the event.

After this date, entries will be accepted with surcharge until 4 of February.

After 4 of February no entries in competitions classes are accepted.

Open classes registration are open even in the competition day, however, conditioned to the available maps.

Course Testing

The control points team visited the terrain in the past 2 of December to a new test of the Middle and Long courses. Osso da Baleia map is a completly new orienteering terrain previously unchartered.

Yesterday were checked the 200 control points of the two stages of XIV MOC in Praia do Osso da Baleia.

After, some of the courses of both stages were tested. This allowed to collect important feelings and information that will be analysed by Rui Antunes, map maker and course planner of XIV MOC, and adjusted accordingly.

Also in the competition location were the Speaker, IT, Orienteenring School, Bar and Arena, that defined the Arena draft already with defined locations of each specific areas.

Courses will be retested on next 2 of December.

Rui Antunes map maker and course planer of XIV MOC has all the courses ready for testing.
Next 17 of November is terrain visit day for the teams to check the controls and test the courses. During the visit possible adjustments, if needed, will be transmitted to Rui Antunes.
